You are a warrior; your tenacious spirit will get you through anything.

Tracy Preciado infuses humanity into the workplace by modeling transformational leadership, grounded in her ability to recognize and inspire the unlimited potential of the people with whom she works. Currently a Senior Organization Development Specialist at UC Davis and the owner of Introspection, Tracy specializes in professional business coaching and organization development. Tracy is funny, creative, compassionate, and honest. She is particularly skilled at leveraging her personal strengths, which include curiosity, assertiveness, and insightfulness, to productively co-create new opportunities and perspectives with/for her clients.

The unique combination of educational and employment background makes her an ideal professional coach. In addition to holding a B.S. in Psychology and M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Tracy has more than a decade of experience. She has worked with a variety of leaders from executives to front line supervisors. She has helped uncover hidden passions that have empowered leaders to grow their businesses, reach new heights, start new business ventures, and ultimately unleash untapped potential. She sees the possibilities that leaders often overlook and helps them manifest these opportunities all while improving leadership function. Tracy has helped many leaders "find their voice" and reach levels that seemed impossible before partnering with her.

She has coached groups and individuals from contexts as diverse as an internationally-known research-intensive university to the county probation office. In addition to developing a succession plan for the central administration, Tracy fostered culture change in a division responsible for serving thousands of students. Tracy has employed her expertise in organization development, coaching, and training to inspire healthcare professionals to develop their capacity for empathetic communication and leading an organization wide culture change initiative. While working formally as a probation officer, Tracy integrated principles of transformational, compassionate coaching with at-risk youth facing incarceration. She also used motivational interviewing to initiate change in youth and adults on formal probation.

Tracy’s expertise includes: life and business coaching; empathetic communication; cognitive behavioral training; motivational interviewing; crucial conversations; conflict management; organizational theory and design; and organizational leadership. She holds certifications from the National Curriculum and Training Institute (NCTI), VitalSmarts (Crucial Conversations Facilitator), Prosci Change Management (Certified Practitioner) and is a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP). She is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentialed through International Coaches Federation (ICF) and is an active member of ICF Sacramento, Association for Talent Development (ATD) Golden Gate Chapter, and has a national affiliation with ATD, ICF, and Organization Development Network (ODN).
